Continued from the previous one……..
Although Patanjali indeed has
mentioned such mystic proficiencies ensues during practicing yoga way, yet it
has been mentioned along with these subsidiary consequence that it is not wise to
give these ones much of importance or boast about these ones with any conceited
attitude because such attempt would cause Yogi’s downfall, thus he can be
counted in the category of defiled Yogis. In this connection some annotators
have commented like that:--‘It does not get known through the Yoga Philosophy
of Patanjali that in what way these mystical proficiencies do prove supportive
to the innovative Yogis? Whereas in his annotation on the subject Saint Vyasji has
hinted that these mystic proficiencies do become a cause of purifying the
conscience equally like attaining knowledge’. So we can possibly come to this
inference that after attaining mystic proficiencies like celestial voyage etc.,
a Yogi may suppose that he has become free from the bondage of nature or he has
conquered the nature, he may lessen his fondness to the physical aspect of the
body. Even after these mystic proficiencies it is quite clear these mystic
proficiencies are not needed for attaining the ultimate trans-meditation which is
known as KAIVALYA. More over this is also mentioned therein that it is not very
necessary that such mystical proficiencies can be had only through practicing
Yoga Way, as is mentioned in Yoga Philosophy of Patanjali that some of such mystic
proficiencies may be congenital or may be had through administering medicinal
potions or tablet, power of Yantras {talisman}, power of Mantras, power of
penance performance etc. We get to this conclusion that it is not necessary all
of such mystic proficiency holders must be noble ones notwithstanding some of
them may be deceitful also.
