Contd., from previous one…..

When YUM and NIYAM {commandments meant for comprehensive matters and personal matters}, which are mentioned in Yoga philosophy are viewed through the outlook that has been stated in the previous passage, then these do look as GOLDEN RULES OF LIFE. It is our prime most obligation to follow these ones in our lives and we can be worthy of being human through this endeavor. Yoga Philosophy has praised these YUM and NIYAM and informed the practicing ones {Yoga way followers} that people have attained so many great perfection in achieving all the success in their life as well as achieving supernatural and spiritual divine powers too. The last three NIYUM used to be termed in Yoga philosophy of Patanjali as KRIYA-YOGA. These later NIYUM are--practicing penance, acquiring knowledge through regular study of literature that has been got collected in the shape of scriptures and other scientific literature as well as the knowledge that has been acquired through the experience. And to have faith upon God and His kindness in order to overcome our distresses and concerns upon getting setbacks even after putting on all efforts and fulfilling our duties and obligations through our best endeavor.

Contd., from previous one…..

Fifth NIYAM is about having faith in God. All the four maxims described as Niyam in Yoga Philosophy—commandments concerning the individual are greatly useful for thoughtfulness and bodily well being, one surely gets successful in life through the application of these ones. Although this should also be born in mind that the capability of human being and his efforts are extremely diminutive therefore one should definitely comply with the requirements of his duties, should also safeguard his domination, but he must remember also that the management and the governance of the world used to be in the hands of God. He does understand very well about all of our advantageous, disadvantageous states, good luck, bad luck and whatever He does all those used to be only for our welfare. Therefore in case we do not get success even after putting on all efforts properly and fulfilling all the duties, have to face the sudden repressive situations, then upon getting confused and being caught up in panicky stage, it would be rational to have faith upon His kindness. And that whatever He has done for us that definitely is very good, although we may not be able to understand that one owing to our limited understanding.

Contd., from previous one….

Fourth commandment concerning the individual--NIYAM--for achieving success in worldly life, is the knowledge, which also used to be surely an essential requirement along with other matters. A person having no knowledge has to suffer with several strokes at every step in life and at times has to remain perplexed even while getting favorable occasion and also has to lose the good opportunity. Therefore whatever may be the situation one should try to acquire more and more knowledge in all circumstances. The simplest and useful way for this is to acquire knowledge through the study regularly the literature, which has been collected in scriptures and scientific literature. Understanding that is had through experience is also has been considered an excellent way to acquire the knowledge, but during the present time when the life has become multi pronged that it has become impossible to acquire every type of knowledge only through the experience. Therefore we can be benefitted through the experiences of other personages and wise ones and that should also be utilized for own progress.

Propensity of pleasure enjoyments used to be there in human beings naturally and this also is necessary for maintaining the life. If we do not have the feel of contentment in our conscience, then we shall not be happy even after having more than what is needed. Matters worthy of enjoyments are not insufficient in the world, but how we can possess all of those? Therefore we shall have to limit our desires. Because in case it is not pursued then we shall always remain grieved. In fact the method in order to achieve happiness is not to increase own necessities and indeed to understand the importance of contentment. Therefore doctrine of contentment used to be the maxim of happiness.

Third commandment concerning the individual—NIYAM—is to practice penance--as we all know that life of course used to be full of troubles and it always used to be surrounded with struggles. In order to carry on maintaining own entity and continue living respectfully firmness and forbearance are also very necessary. The person who wants to live without difficulty and to get rid of arduous circumstances cannot stay even a bit whenever he come across such a demanding occasion and gets ruined like a dried-up grass straw in the brook of time. Thereafter there cannot remain any of the slightest possibility of his not getting extinct. Therefore the basic secret of our success is hidden in continue subsisting during difficult period and to get that difficulty reposed among peaceful gesticulation, which is got through practicing penance.
