Introduction to Yoga

 It is considered that the highest goal of human life is to achieve real happiness, peace and bliss by way of conquering distresses, coping with wants for satisfaction after fulfilling all desires. Though all wise ones do take shelter of ways and means of various kinds according to their skill, inclination and knowledge but common goal is same. People follow certain behavioral activities as old sages and saints have prescribed like chanting prayers, muttering mantras, practicing devotion, worshiping deities or performing religious activities or similar deeds apart from following common way to put in worldly effort in vogue according to diversified tendency and eligibility of the practicing one. But such doings are considered simply to make self-soul awaken to a moderate level along with attaining success and happiness by way of having betterment in worldly life. Furthermore one can expect getting heavenly abode after ceasing life. But the ways and means of much higher order are needed to achieve the ultimate goal of delightfulness of self-soul salvation or ‘‘KAVALYA’’ by way of having true understanding of instinctive knowledge. Yoga way is rare of such ways and means. Greatest advantage of this one as compared to other ones is, that whereas other means contain thoughtful analysis or the discriminatory explanation of certain doctrines, but precision of yoga way can be perceived by each and every practicing one.

In fact all the religious sects and doctrines have told their peculiar methodology of worshiping which used to be very much logical because of the fact that the real purport of yoga is the peculiar methodology to pursue the way to have the view of God. This view of God used to be expected, as far as possible, clearly perceivable through senses or through some other ways that makes the devotee to get convinced beyond doubt. Each and every one of all the religious sects and doctrines would definitely be following some of appropriate methodology. But there seems no doubt at all that the original source of all these ones used to be the yoga philosophy that was brought-about by the eminent Saint Patanjali.
